IN Dept. of Agriculture: “GO LOCO By GOING LOCAL”

In honor of Indiana’s 4th annual Going Local week September 4-10, we thought what better time to promote our regional farmers’ markets. Summer is starting to wind down and the leaves are changing, which means the time for farmers’ markets is coming to an end. All of the crops will be in soon, so it’s time to take advantage of the fresh fruits and vegetables homegrown by local farmers in the ten counties of Northeast Indiana.

With the abundance of farmers’ markets available in our region, it’s impossible to compile them all, but we’ve gathered a few resources which will help put you on the right track. So grab a friend and a bushel basket and pick yourself a piece of Hoosier homegrown goodness. Now that’s some tasty quality of life!
